Chu Lo East peak is located in the small valley of Manang “A typical Tibetan Buddhist Town” at an elevation of 6,584 m. It is a smaller peak compared to the Chu Lo West peak but the spectacular mountain scenery and mountaineering challenges are no match. With diverse flora and fauna, cultures, lush paddy fields, oak forests, arid deserts, deepest gorge, and the close-up view of the Annapurna range (II, III and IV) this region astonish its travelers. The expedition in this peak also offers an amazing glimpse of Mt. Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak, and Mt. Manaslu. The North-East Ridge is the normal route to climb to this peak from Base camp that covers the Annapurna massif. The trail then ascends to Marsyangdi valley and crosses the Thorang La pass then descend to Kali Gandaki valley. It is a classic and straightforward climb but the climbers must be familiar with the use of equipments like crampons, ice axe, climbing ropes, and harness.
